Mage Con, 2007
Had a good time, but picture-wise wasn't much there. No one was in costume, any games or such of photographic interest I'd already done at other cons. More kids than at other cons, so took pics of a few of the babies, that's about all.
Mike Redelfs setting up a Civil War miniatures battle.
A wooden-pieces balancing game. The right picture is just when it starts toppling.
The Caveman Brawl. The old chief is dead, now we're each out to be the new chief. The rule is, you knock out your opponents. Don't kill, you lose status that way. If, by chance, two cavemen die, the tribe is too small for survival and everyone dies. By chance, one of our members died when a hungry saber-tooth tiger wandered in.
I was behind so was just playing king-of-the-hill. Someone climbed up to challenge me, just after I'd picked up a weapon that could kill in one blow. I wasn't worried, you'd need three perfect die rolls. What were the odds of that? Well... I made all three rolls and lost the game for everyone. Dang.
Halo 2, just out on the X-Box.

This is the Halo tournament/National Guard recruiter.
Nice setup.

At this point, no one knows how Halo 2 is different from Halo 1.
Laser line-of-sight. These are serious gamers. This is a WWII naval-warfare simulation.
